Varadkar announces €72,000 in lottery funding for 3 Dublin West projects

Local TD and Minister for Health Leo Varadkar has announced total funding of €72,000 in National Lottery grants for three local projects.

“I hope this funding will make a real difference to the groups, to their staff members and volunteers, and of course to their clients,” Minister Varadkar said.

“All three are great projects and their applications were assessed by my Department against rigorous criteria. It means that Coolmine Therapeutic Community will now be able to refurbish its dining room area, while the Blanchardstown Centre for Independent Living will be able to expand its transport service. And the Blanchardstown Traveller Development Group will be able to purchase a mobile unit for its outreach services.

“A second round of national funding for other projects will be announced later this year.”

The details are:
1. Coolmine Therapeutic Community – Coolmine Lodge, €32,000.
2. Blanchardstown Centre for Independent Living, €20,000.
3. Blanchardstown Traveller Development Group Ltd, €20,000.
