Local TD and Minister for Health Leo Varadkar has welcomed the Government announcement of a new primary school in the Pelletstown/Ashtown area.

“I’m delighted for parents and families in the area that the Government has approved this new school. Pelletstown and Ashtown have rapidly growing populations and this school will go a long way to meeting the growing demand,” Minister Varadkar said.

“The last Government allowed endless new housing developments to be built without providing essential services or facilities. But the Fine Gael/Labour coalition is making sure that families, especially those in growing areas, have the schools they need to cater for current and future generations.”

The school will be set up in 2015 and will be run by Educate Together.
