Local TD and Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Leo Varadkar has welcomed plans to expand the range of services at a renovated Roselawn Health Centre.
The HSE has secured capital funding to extend the existing health centre on Roselawn Road and it will apply for planning permission in in the next few weeks.
“The extension and renovation of the Roselawn Health Centre is long overdue. The services provided from the centre are essential for our community and there is a growing demand for services such as speech & language and occupational therapy.
“It is further evidence of this Government’s commitment to healthcare in Dublin 15 and follows on from the provision of the MRI for Connolly Hospital and the opening of the new Primary Care Facility at the Blanchardstown Centre. Later this year, St Francis Hospice will provide its first in-patient beds and construction will begin on the Corduff Primary Care Centre. Fianna Fáil, the Greens and the Independents were only interested in building houses in Dublin 15. We build schools, health centres, greenways, playing pitches and train stations.
“Later this week, I shall meet the HSE to view the plans and will visit the Roselawn Centre. I will seek assurances from them about residents being consulted, parking, security and landscaping.”
The new centre will offer the following services:
• Dental service;
• Public health nursing service;
• Occupational therapy service;
• Physiotherapy service;
• Speech & language therapy service;
• Clinical nutrition and dietetic service;
• Psychology service;
• Social work service;
• Duty social work service.
