Local TD and Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Leo Varadkar attended the opening of the brand new school buildings at Scoil Bhride Cailíní in Blanchardstown this morning.
“This is a lovely new school and I congratulate everyone involved in getting it built. Scoil Bhride Cailíní is a very important school in Blanchardstown with a great reputation and an important history,” Minister Varadkar said.
“The Government is putting a lot of investment into new and replacement schools in Dublin West including Scoil Bhride Cailíní. I’m particularly pleased that we could provide this new premises for Scoil Bhride Cailíní which has a large attendance of more than 300 pupils.
“It’s very important that we keep on investing in education in this part of Dublin which has seen a huge population growth in recent years, so it’s great news that the new boys school will also open in the near future.”
