Varadkar welcomes new jobs at IBM in Blanchardstown

Local TD and Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Leo Varadkar has welcomed IBM’s announcement this morning of up to 40 new jobs at its Blanchardstown site.

These new positions will be created at IBM’s new multilingual operations centre for its global software services. The project is backed by Minister Richard Bruton and the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

“This is a great announcement for Blanchardstown and I’m delighted to see IBM making a further commitment to the area. Cloud computing is the future of technology and IBM’s Blanchardstown site will be at the forefront of these developments,” Minister Varadkar said.
