Varadkar organises Olympic boxing visit to Mulhuddart Boxing Academy

Local TD and Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Leo Varadkar arranged for Olympic boxers Darren O’Neill and Adam Nolan to visit Mulhuddart Boxing Academy yesterday, April 22nd.

Club members were delighted to meet the two Olympians at the clubhouse in Mulhuddart. Darren O’Neill from Paulstown in Co. Kilkenny captained the Irish boxing team in the 2012 London Olympics, while Adam Nolan from Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford won the qualification tournament at the Olympics.

The two star boxers were joined in Mulhuddart by Irish boxing coach Billy Walsh, and Tommy Walsh, the President of the IABA.

The visit was arranged jointly by the Minister and the club, along with the Irish Amateur Boxing Association (IABA).
