Local TD and Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Leo Varadkar has said the OPW has confirmed that work will start soon to repair potholes on the main road through the Phoenix Park and on the ‘Back Road’ around the park.
“Although this hasn’t been a particularly severe winter, Chesterfield Avenue is the main road through the Phoenix Park and is heavily used by local and through traffic. Some sizeable potholes have developed on Chesterfield Avenue near the Castleknock Gate.
“The OPW informed me this week that work will start on repairing these potholes as soon as possible. This is welcome news for the local community, including the many people in Blanchardstown and beyond who travel through the park.
“Repair work will also start this week to remove potholes on the Back Road around the Phoenix Park.”
