Dublin West TD and Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Leo Varadkar and Cllr Eithne Loftus have welcomed the removal of a major eyesore in Laurel Lodge.
Fingal County Council has confirmed that the large sign at the entrance to Laurel Lodge advertising the construction of the Castleknock QBC will be taken down.
“Residents have been asking for this sign to be removed for some time and have raised the issue on many occasions with myself and Cllr Loftus. The sign dominates the entrance to Laurel Lodge, even though Castleknock QBC was completed at least two years ago. This is a welcome decision by Fingal County Council,” Minister Varadkar said.
Cllr Loftus added that: ‘The project has been completed for a good while and the sign is unsightly. The council has clearly listened to the concerns of residents, and I would like to thank the council for making the right decision’.
