Blanchardstown Women's Refuge

I was delighted to hear over the weekend that serious progress has been made towards the opening of a Women’s Refuge in Blanchardstown. After many years of hard work, the organisors have secured full funding, and Fingal County Council have now given the go-ahead on their site. I am informed that they expect the refuge to be open in the next 12-14 months.

Domestic violence is a black mark on our society, and I particularly wish to commend groups such as those behind the Blanchardstown Women’s Refuge who are seeking to provide women and children who suffer from domestic violence the opportunity to live free from it.
